Hi
My PD is sept 2001. India. I would like to know if i can file I140 and I485 concurently? My attorney says I can. Only thing they will not do anything with 485 until the visa numbers become current. Is this true?

Any help in answering my question is appreciated.

Most of these immigration lawyers are having hard time these days and are not making as much money as they once used to. This could very well be a publicity stunt for creating a scene that eb2 is going to move very fast so that more eb3 will work on porting, thereby making big bucks for lawyers. Wait until you get your greencard in hand.

Initially I ignored this thread as some advertisement. Then I noticed that this thread was staying visible for several days. I got curious and started reading it and following the posts - Got convinced - Purchased the plan 2 days ago and I got my Vonage adapter today. Dude, then why are we blaming people like punjabi.........it is not his fault that the supply was abundant and demand receded..........I would still blame the banking system for the housing failure.......they landed out money which they knew would stop coming back at one point in time........and again, it's not that he cannot afford his monthly payments...........he just cannot sell his asset - to me that is a problem on the part of the lender and not the borrower. No wonder banks are re-adjusting the home loan amounts (to a much lower value than originally specified in the agreement) for people who cannot pay the normal mortgage (due to whatever reasons). Go and teach the same lesson to these greedy banks and lending institutions.

Again, I am not saying that foreclsosing (escapism) is a good route to take, as there are other ways to keep the paying the mortgage without hurting your mobility but at the same time it is not prudent to blame it entirely on the borrower - lending institutions are responsible for major part of this mess.



gO learn the concept of supply and demand before asking a question as to why banks are lowering their appraisals!

No. 11032960), Charlie Oppenheim discussed scenarios for EB-2 movement in the coming months. In preparation of the May 2011 Visa Bulletin, DOS will consider the approximately 12,000 unused EB-1 numbers that will "spill-down" to EB-2, EB-2 demand and possible unused numbers, and will consult with USCIS on its processing potential. A quick look by DOS at this point indicates that there is the possibility for greater advancement of the India EB-2 category than had earlier been thought. Doing so will give DOS better visibility into EB-3 upgrade demand in the pipeline, and will better ensure that all visas allowed annually are used. However, a rapid advance could spur a surge in demand that could impact the cut-off dates later in the year. The May Visa Bulletin, generally issued mid-April, will contain a discussion of visa availability projections for the remainder of the year.

File a 7001 form with the Ombudsman's office. If I remember right, IV had sent in a recommendation for the USCIS to send GC in secure mail.
An official complaint (instead of just email to ombudsman's office) will reassert IV's recommendation.

If I am correct, your PDs are current, right? Do you guys know if your case was pre-adjudicated and/or assigned to an IO? I keep reading from the forums that some apps with PDs as late as Dec 2004 and a couple of Jan 2005 got approved. Wondering why the earlier (eg. mine is July 04) not approved yet. Could we all join togther and write a letter to Napolitino(Thanks to SoP for the idea) and ask her to take some action on our cases?

in resent SR, IO said my case is pre adjudicated and under review. we asked what's that mean, he doesn't know - if it's under review then how preadjudicated?
i send request to senator before 2 weeks, but still no change in LUD and no reply.:confused:

Amazed at the level of speculation, inspite of the detailed Procedures released by Rajiv Khanna ( and re posted by IV) .

I am one without an EVL, sent after new memo took effect , that has been recipted and finger printed.

So please read the 485 USCIS procedure again, and do not worry about sending endless 485s just because of lack of initial evidence




I doubt that. Medical was relaxed since it can take time for people to get the medicals done. Also immigration doctors were all busy at this time. So it is possible that people arent able to get the meds done by the Aug 17 deadline. The other documents like EVL shouldnt take this long. If the employer is willing to provide future employment to someone then it should be sent along with the application. Whether USCIS will relax for lack of Initial Evidence other than Medical is hard to say. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

I know most of the ppl file EAD and AP along with I-485, but is it possible to file EAD and AP at a later time and not with I-485.

I know it's a stupid idea but just curious whether we can do that or not?
Also is the filing of EAD and AP also ties with your PD being current ?

Dancing With The Stars: Is Hope Solo Getting Fair Shake?

Hope Solo must be wondering what’s going on. Well into her second week on Dancing With The Stars, the U.S. Women’s National Team Soccer Star Goalkeeer saw her and dancing partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy get a total score of 21, but then be bashed for being a woman with muscles. (Which this blogger thinks is sexy.)

Then, after Monday’s performance, which included a Hope doing a really sexy, if edgy, booty shake, the pair got a 19, causing a large Twitter reaction from fans and observers, who thought TeamMaksolo should have earned another 21 for a difficult shimmy they pulled off well.
It seems like the judges have some weird bias against Hope Solo, and indeed perhaps the PR people connected with Dancing With The Stars. As this blogger said before, the problems started when Hope was not included in the cast photos People Magazine issued to help ABC promote the show. But even with such snubs, Solo gets the most consistently highest intensity of searches, according to this blogger’s Google Trends reviews.
Why?

 

First, because Hope’s a hottie. Second, because she’s an athletic hottie. Third, because she played a lead role in the advance of the U.S. Women National Soccer Team to the Women’s World Cup’s epic final game this year. And finally, because Hope’s still on Dancing With The Stars, even as Ron Artest and now Elisabetta Canalis were voted off the show.
This corner is rooting for Hope because she’s the underdog in all of this. The Dancing With The Stars PR folks have tried to make us pay so much attention to Chaz Bono it’s taken away from Hope’s story. And then there’s the issue some weaklings have with a strong woman – and Hope’s certainly a strong woman. On top of that Hope has to master ballroom dancing on a show that, frankly, I didn’t think had a chance to succeed when it was first announced. Wrong, I was, years later.
But I digress. The Dancing With The Stars judges should stop working against Hope and give her a better evaluation.

The popular actress will not be appearing in the ” Transformers 3″ movie, according.

Rumor has it that the director Michael Bay made so that Shia LaBeouf‘s character, Samuel James Witwicky, could evolve and not be tied down to a relationship.

Hmm, really? I’m not so sure.

You may remember that, last September, Fox got into a heated dispute with a few “Transformers” crew members. She even went so far as to compare Bay to “Hitler” and “Napoleon” during an interview.

Transformers 3 should be in filming at the moment but many rumours have surfaced about the star departing from the trilogy's cast.

Megan Fox was a huge fan favourite from the first movie. She was every Transformers fan's dream girl. She was hot and she knew a load of killer robots.

Although no super official news has been published nobody has denied the rumours either and it looks like the leading lady from Transformers ad Revenge of the fallen could be replaced.

Hopefully this mean there is time for her to get back to filming the Fathom movie which has been prosponed indefinably.
